Rika Privacy Policy

Effective July 15, 2026

1. Overview

Rika (the "App") connects two phones so you can take photos remotely. The App is designed on the principle of not storing your personal information on servers, and there is no sign-up or login. Only anonymous usage statistics for service improvement and the minimum information needed to serve ads are processed, as described in Sections 2 and 5.

2. Personal Information We Collect

The App does not collect personal information that directly identifies you, such as your name, contact details, or account information. However, to understand how the App is used and to improve it, the following is collected automatically via Google Analytics for Firebase: · App instance identifier (a randomly generated, device-level ID) · Usage records (screen views, feature usage, session length, etc.) · Device information (model, OS version) and coarse location derived from the IP address (country/region level) This information is used solely for anonymous statistics, is not linked to your identity, and is automatically deleted after at most 14 months.

3. Handling of Video and Photos

The camera preview and captured photos are transmitted directly between the two connected devices over an end-to-end encrypted (WebRTC/DTLS) P2P data channel. They are never stored on a server and cannot be viewed by anyone else, including the operator. Received photos are kept only on your devices (the in-app album, and the device photo library if you choose to save them) and can be deleted by you at any time. When the connection ends, screen sharing and remote control stop immediately.

4. Connection Relay Servers

To establish the connection (signaling) and, when a direct connection is not possible, to relay traffic (TURN), the App may temporarily route through servers. These servers only carry connection routing data; video, photos, and control messages are end-to-end encrypted and cannot be stored or read by the servers.

5. Advertising

The App shows Google AdMob ads. Ads are requested in non-personalized mode, and the App does not provide any user information to advertisers. However, to serve ads and prevent fraud, device identifiers, ad impression/interaction data, and IP addresses may be processed by Google, governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

6. App Permissions

· Camera — used for taking photos and scanning QR codes. · Photo library — used to save photos you choose to your device. · Microphone — reserved for a future video-recording feature; no audio is currently recorded. Permissions are requested only when the corresponding feature is used, and other features remain available if you decline.

7. Third Parties and Cross-Border Transfer

The information described in Sections 2 (usage statistics) and 5 (advertising) is processed on servers of Google LLC (United States). No other personal information is shared with third parties or transferred abroad. See the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy) for details.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children and does not collect personal information that directly identifies any user, regardless of age.
